Story of Pallavi

Pallavi is 15 years old and she has been a member of a youth group organized by More Than Brides Alliance partner, BVHA, for two years. In this group, the young members discuss issues important issues like child marriage and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

After COVID-19 forced a lockdown in India, Pallavi did not attend school for five months. During the peak of the crisis, Pallavi received hand sanitizer, masks, and menstrual health products during the lockdown from BVHA. Receiving menstrual health products was important as these became difficult to access due to supply chain disruptions or financial struggles. Sexual and reproductive health and rights information, services, and products, including menstrual health products, need to remain accessible throughout the pandemic.
